LODESTONE MONEY (OR OBJECT) DRAWING SPELL
The following hoodoo lodestone spell can be used for drawing
anything you want, whether it is money, romance, sex, marriage, a
new car, business success, a child, a job, the return of a lost
lover, or you-name-it.
You need one large lodestone, a china plate, a packet of magnetic
sand, some sort of drawing oil, and a piece of paper torn from a
brown grocery sack. Write your wish on the paper, being as specific
as possible about your wants, and sign it with your name. Get a
picture of what you desire (a drawing, a photograph, or even an
advertisement torn from a magazine). If your desire is for more
money, use a dollar bill as your “picture” and add it to your
written wish.
Anoint the four corners of the wishing paper and the picture or
money, either with a general drawing oil such as Attraction Oil,
Fast Luck Oil, or Lodestone Oil, or with a specific condition-
drawing oil for your particular purpose, such as Love Me Oil, Come
To Me Oil, Follow Me Boy Oil, Lavender Love Drops, Money Drawing
OIl, or Reconciliation Oil.
Place the wishing paper and the picture or money on the plate and
set the lodestone on top. Pray over the lodestone, stating your wish
clearly, and then feed the lodestone with a pinch of magnetic sand.
The idea is to get the lodestone to understand your wish and to work
on your behalf, drawing the desire toward you. When you have
finished praying, put the plate and everything on it away where no
one will see it, perhaps under your bed or in a drawer.
Every day take out the plate with the lodestone and papers, pray
over it, and feed the lodestone with magnetic sand, stating your
wish clearly. When your wish comes true, thank the lodestone
respectfully and bury it in your yard with its magnetic sand and all
the papers, still on the plate.

Cord Magick
by Estelle Daniels
One magical art that is not widely used is that of cord magic. Cords
or ribbons of various colors are braided together while
concentrating on a desired end. Then the cord is consecrated,
blessed, and worn.
Many magical traditions use cords of various colors to designate
attainment of degrees. This varies by tradition and region.
WAYS TO USE CORD MAGICK
Cord magick is widely adaptable. One very basic use is for
protection. A cord can be made with the intent to protect the wearer
from harm by psychic or magickal energies. Then, when worn, the cord
protects from specific types of harm as the need arises. One
caution: these protective cords should only be used when needed, not
casually worn day in and day out. They work well when sleeping in an
unfamiliar place, or visiting somewhere the wearer is uncertain
about.
Another use for cords can be to help performance on the job. Weave
them with the intent that you will do your job better, be more
professional, make fewer mistakes, make a good impression on others,
etc., then wear them under your clothes to work. You could wear them
every day (taking them off after work), or maybe only on Monday, or
the toughest day of your week. Eventually you will no longer need
them, as you will have internalized the message.
Cord magic adapts well to helping others who may not use magick
themselves. You weave the intent into the cords, and the person
wears them knowing what spell you used and what the desired outcome
is. You cannot give a person a cord and expect it to work without
their knowledge and cooperation. The person wearing the cord must
know what it is about and be a willing participant in the magickal
intent.
Some people use cords to invoke certain gods or goddess energies. As
deity has many aspects, you can use cords to symbolize a certain
aspect of deity, and when woven with that in mind the cord acts as a
link to that manifestation. These can also be used to invoke
protection as aid from that particular god-form when worn.
A cord can also be used as a portable magickal circle. Weave the
cord inside the circle with the intent of producing the circle when
worn. Then all you need to do is put the cord on, and you are in
that circle. This works well when you are in a place you cannot cast
a full circle, or you need a circle but lack the time or equipment
necessary. This type of cord needs to be recharged every so often to
retain its potency and effectiveness.
BUYING AND PREPARING CORD MATERIALS
The materials used for a cord vary. I like the round silk cord
(called rattail, mousetail, bugtail or other names), dyed various
colors, and usually available by the yard or foot at craft, yarn, or
fabric stores. It comes in varying widths and many colors. It braids
easily, and looks nice when finished. Yarn can also be used. Thicker
yarn is better as it stands up to wear, and wool is best. Natural
fibers work best in cords. Colored ribbons can also be used, found
in decorating stores for trim (not the ribbon used for decorating
packages. Often they can be bought by the spool for a good price.
Use a new piece of cord, string or twine, or a piece which has been
specifically set a aside specifically for a magical purpose. Avoid
plastic or synthetic based products, if possible. Use a length ideal
for the task. If it is to be put in a neck pouch a 3 foot piece of
cord will be a bit impractical, yet if it is to be worn as a girdle
a 1 inch piece is hardly likely to fit.
The colour of the cord may reflect the form of magic required.
Otherwise a natural or neutral colour will service.
The spell should be performed alone and working by moonlight or
candle light. But you can use an appropriate hour of the day as the
situations demands.
Incense can also be burned to assist in creating the right
atmosphere and to ’seal’ the cord, if you wish.
When planning for a specific cord, I go and buy the materials,
usually all at once. It’s easier to braid if you use the same
material throughout, all silk or wool yarn, or ribbons. If the
materials are bought in lengths, I measure the length desired. The
standard is three yards (nine feet) per strand. Longer lengths
become difficult to work with, and shorter lengths make a less
adaptable cord (unless you plan on placing the cord in a pouch or
your pocket). When I get it all home, I coat the ends with melted
wax (usually by running them into the melted at the base of a
lighted candle) to seal the ends and prevent fraying. If you stick
the cords in below the flame you can get the ends waxed and not burn
the cord at all. After the wax hardens, I either start the braiding
or I put the materials away until the time I have chosen to work on
the cords.
BRAIDING THE CORD
Get very clear in your mind what is being sought or wished for or
the intent of the spell your are about to performed. Concentrate on
this image or thought, banish all other images and thoughts from
your mind.
When braiding, a tighter weave will make a shorter cord. A more
elaborate weave will also probably end up shorter if you start with
the same length cord. The more strands used and the thicker strands
used, generally the shorter the finished cord will be. You can
secure the cord with a ring (it loops through to tie more easily
with a ring), or you can just know the ends together and braid if
you don’t want to use any metal.
When braiding, I place enough time to finish the cord in one
session. A simple three-strand braid can take twenty to forty
minutes. With a seven or more strand braid it can take hours. As I
braid, I recite the reasons for making this cord, perhaps making a
rhyme or chant. I vary the words, using more than one rhyme or
chant. I visualize the outcome desired; not how the outcome will
happen, but just the end desired. If making the cord for another, I
talk about the person and why this cord is being made and what I
want it to do.
Once finished, I bless and consecrate the cord, then put it away
until it is to be used. Cords make nice respositories for portable
spells, and travel easily. You can wear them under your clothes or
even as a belt, and they will do what you want, and be unobtrusive.
You can carry them in a purse or pocket, ready to use when needed.
Placed under a pillow, they offer protection at night while sleeping.
Cord magick is simple and effective, and adapts well to many
purposes.
KNOT MAGICK
Pass the card through the candle flame or incense smoke, back and
forth whilst you whisper the words of your spell and to cleanse and
seal the cord to it’s task.
Then begin to tie the knots whilst repeating the ’spell of the cord’
(see later in text).
It is best to tie the knots as follows, starting from the middle
—–2—-8—-4—-6—-1—-7—-5—-9—-3—-
Items can be tied into the knots as you go to strengthen the spell,
such as hair, resins, wood, etc.
Spell of the Cord
By the knot of one The spells began
By the knot of two It will come true
By the knot of three So shall it be
By the knot of four It is strengthened more
By the knot of five So may it thrive
By the knot of six This spell is fixed
By the knot of seven Be it powered by the heavens
By the knot of eight Guide the hand of fate
By the knot of nine The thing is mine
Once completed, pass the knotted cord through the incense or candle
flame again. Then extinguish the candle and incense and go to bed.
Put the cord in a pre-prepared place or if for personal empowerment,
under your pillow.
Carry the knotted cord with you as a talisman, keeping it hidden
from sight if necessary. Or dispose of as appropriate to the spell
Do not tell any one of the spell working, if you must only those you
can trust and only if you really need to.
Above all else believe in what you are doing and it will work.
This is only a skeleton of the magic - one can invoke God or Goddess
forms, animals or guide spirits to assist in the magic being worked,
as you feel comfortable or appropriate with.
Also this is not ’safe magic’ for it does not come with a “and harm
none” clause. Cord magic is what I call grey magic, you can use it
to give yourself confidence or to curse another and bind them to ill
fortune, which ever you do and however you use the magic is your own
responsibility and you will take the full consequences of the magic
you cast, be that good or bad consequences
Only you and your karmic conscious are the guardians of application
of this form of magic.

The Witches Pyramid
The Witches’ Pyramid is a set of four principles that are very
important to successful magic: To Know, To Will, To Dare, and To
Keep Silent.
TO KNOW
Do research on the kind of spell you’re trying to do. For example,
if you like to use candles in magic, read about what other people
have done with candle magic. What steps do they go through? You
don’t have to make your spell exactly like someone else’s, but if
you notice everyone else dressing their candles with oil while
concentrating on their purpose (for example), it may be something
that you want to try as well.
Also learn about the magical correspondences for your tradition and
use them in your spells. For example, if you were doing a love spell
and you were a fan of the Norse pantheon, you might want to
emphasize certain runes, invoke the goddess Freya, and do the spell
on Friday (Freya’s Day). There are also correspondences in most
traditions for colors, plants, animals, times of day, seasons, and
phases of the Moon, among other things. The more of these you can
incorporate into your work, the more focused your energy will
become.
Go over the spell in your mind a few times before you actually do
it. Know what step comes next. If possible, memorize your lines.
TO WILL
Now that the spell is focused, YOU must be focused as well. If you
throw a spell together at the last minute and do it half-heartedly
while watching The X-Files, no matter how skilled you are, you will
get less “bang” from your magic than you would have if you prepared
well and really concentrated on what you were doing. A regular
practice of meditation will teach you to focus your mind, which will
in turn fuel your magic much more effectively.
You must have confidence in your spell for it to work. You must
believe that you have done real magic and that real magic works.
Your spell feeds off of your thoughts and energy, and if you don’t
feed it well, it will die.
TO DARE
It’s not only your conscious mind that has to believe in the spell,
either. Any ambiguous thoughts you have lurking about will
compromise your magic. On the top of a sheet of paper, write what
the spell is basically for: “A Job.” for example.
Write down every thought that comes into your head about “A Job.”
When you run out of ideas, read over your list. How many negatives
are in it? These are thoughts that will interfere with your spell
unless they are dealt with. For example, if I do a spell for “A
Job.” and I discover that deep down I hate most jobs and would
rather not have one, for my spell to work I either have to change my
goal or deal with my attitude problem.
The other part of daring is infusing your spell with some emotion.
Emotion is energy. “Gosh, I wish he would leave me alone” will not
give much punch to a hex. (I don’t recommend hexes anyway, but this
is an example of using emotion for energy.) “LEAVE ME THE HELL
ALONE!!!” will do better. Feel something as you’re doing the spell.
Give a flying fig how it turns out. If you don’t care, why should
the Gods? (And for that matter, if you don’t care, why are you doing
the spell in the first place??)
TO KEEP SILENT
Now that you’ve done your spell, shut up about it. There are two
reasons for this. One is that the energy you spend dwelling on it is
energy that isn’t going to the spell itself. It’s more efficient to
just think about something else and let your spell do its work. The
other reason is that if you talk about your spell to someone who
doesn’t believe in magic or who doesn’t want your spell to work for
some reason, that person can undermine your confidence, which will
weaken the spell
Thirteen Steps for successful spell casting
1) Think clearly about what you need.
If you need a car, perhaps it would be best to do a spell that will help you to bring a car into your life, rather than asking for a few thousand dollars to come your way so that you can buy a car. Magic can work in many ways and you might be limiting yourself if you donít stay open to all possibilities! But remember, magic works best if you really need something, rather than just desiring it.
2) Set a goal that is clear, concise and unambiguous.
Focus only upon one work of magic at a time. For best results, don’t scatter your power, channel it in one direction.
3) Avoid distractions when performing your spell.
To be effective in your magic, you must be fully focussed upon your intentions. Put time and energy into preparing yourself and your spell. Find a location where you can work your spell in private, without any distractions.
4) Choose the right timing for your spell.
By choosing particular days, and by working in harmony with the phases of the moon, you can enhance the effectiveness of your spell. The days of the week and the phases of the moon all have specific energies associated with them, and by knowing the right time for your spell, you can give it greater power. Working magic is like swimming in the ocean, you are going to get to your destination quicker and easier if the currents and tides are moving in the direction you are wanting to go. You can still get there even if everything is going against you, but it will not be as easy to achieve your goal.
5) Use appropriate symbols for your spell.
When doing the spell, have appropriate music, incense, colours, objects and tools around you to reinforce the message of the spell to your subconscious.
6) Set a time for a result.
Include in your spell an indication of when you would like to see a result. If your spell is for greater prosperity, include a date for when you would like to see that extra cash in your wallet or purse.
7) Create a simple rhyme to use during the spell.
Chanting a few appropriate words that you have written yourself, will have a much better effect than reading text from an ancient spell book. Repeat your wording lots of times during your spell. Repetition is the key to sending a message to your subconscious.
Use the “For the good of all!” clause.
When creating the wording for your spell, remember to include the phrase, “For the good of all!” This phrase will help your spells to enhance your life, without having your good fortune being at the expense of another. Another useful phrase is, “This or something better now comes to me.” Often that which you want at this point in your life may be different to what you really need, and it’s only when you look with hindsight from a future point in time that you can realise this. So, by asking “for this or something better,” you leave yourself open to greater possibilities becoming available to you. I have heard so many examples of spells going wrong when the “For the good of all!” wording is not taken into consideration. One friend did a spell to get $1,000 for a holiday, and two weeks later his house was burgled, and the insurance reimbursement cheque ended up being $1,000 exactly. Another person I know did a spell so that she could have some time off work, and she promptly broke her leg, requiring three months off work! I have also heard (many times) about people who do a spell to lose weight, and they get diarrhoea, or excessive vomiting, or both. They sure lost weight, but not in a healthy way. Be careful for what you wish for, because you may get it!
9) Realise the consequences of having what you asked for.
Apart from the examples just given, there are other consequences to be aware of. When something comes into your life, certain responsibilities come along with it. For example, when doing a spell to get a car, remember that along with the car comes registration costs, petrol and repair bills, perhaps monthly loan repayments, etc. Are you in a position to handle these? A Law of Exchange is always at work when magic is used. Sometimes what you have wished for seems to come out of thin air, with little effort on your part, but often it will arrive from more mundane sources. For example, it may be that after doing a spell for a car, you win $20,000 in the lottery and you can buy it…Or it may simply be that you are offered the chance to do extra hours at your work, or a second job turns up so that you are then in a financial position to afford a loan for the dream car. Are you prepared to give this extra energy to the universe/gods in exchange for the items you wished for? Another way in which money can become available to you after casting a prosperity spell, is through being asked if you want to sell something that is of value to you. Are you willing to part with that family heirloom if someone makes an offer out of the blue?
10) Avoid using words that you don’t understand.
Spell books are great for getting ideas, but the spell will work better if you put it into words that are meaningful to you. In the book “The Key of Solomon the King” there is a spell for gaining inspiration, and at one point the spell-caster is supposed to say the Hebrew words, “Vegale hamicata umsa terata yeh dah ma baxasoxa un horah himesere…” But this sort of wording does nothing to focus awareness upon the aim of the spell. It is much better to make something up yourself. For example, for an “inspiration” spell, you could scry into a water-filled cauldron and say the words, “Beneath the stars and moon so bright, from cauldron deep and candlelight, the answer that I seek tonight is now revealed into my sight.”
11) Use positives not negatives.
Make sure that the wording of your spell is phrased in a positive manner. For example, with a health spell don’t use wording such as “I don’t want to be sick anymore.” Your subconscious doesn’t recognise words like “don’t want”, it can only focus on words that it can put an image to, i.e. the word “sick”. Spells are basically affirmations that include images or symbols, so while doing a healing spell, visualise yourself as healthy and turn this phrase around to something like, “I am healthy, I am strong - all the day and all night long!”
12) Be realistic.
Expect miracles, but don’t go overboard! A love spell will help you to attract romance into your life, but a love spell to attract a Hollywood movie star as your lover is unrealistic. Even Merlin would have trouble with that one!
13) Raise power for the spell (if appropriate).
You can raise power to help send your wishes off into the universe by drumming, chanting, dancing, or even by running around your magical circle. Power raising is like pumping up an air rifle before aiming and releasing the energy, so after raising energy, drop to the ground and visualise your spell as fully manifest. See it in your mind clearly, and send this image into the universe knowing that it has already come true.
Please remember: A magic spell will not work by simply repeating some words that you find in a spell book. The magic of a spell is contained within you - your needs, your desires, and the energy you are prepared to put into the working of the spell. If there is no personal power in your spell, it is only words.

The Universal Fluid Condenser-Author Unknown
This is also called a compound fluid condenser. It’s kind of an ‘all
purpose’ condenser as it is good for all types of spells and is used to
give them and added boost of power. It’s a wonderful general anointing
liquid for tools, amulets, charms and sachets, and is used, to in
purifying baths and washes. Candles, gemstones and jewelry all benefit
for the powers of this condenser if it is applied to them on a regular
basis. As always, be creative and use your imagination to find new ways
to use it.
Directions:
Herbs to use: Angelica root, mugwort, chamomile flowers, rosebuds,
peppermint leave, lemon grass, sage leaves, oak leaves or bark, bay
leaves, lemon peels, violet flowers or leaves, cardamom seeds.
Take a half once of each herb and put in your pot or spring water or
distilled water. Cover them and bring it to a boil, slowly 21 minutes.
Cool, strain and boil until the mixture becomes thick (about half the
amount of water as you started with). Then add an equal amount of vodka
or gin. If you can find it use Everclear. Pour into a dark glass
bottle. I think cobalt works better than amber, but that it my personal
choice. Store in a cool, dry place and remember to label it with all the
relevant information including date.

Basil Protection Spell
To be done during the Full Moon
Needed:
one white candle
one carnation flower
Basil
Place the carnation in the bowl of consecrated water,
and set the basil in
front of the white candle. Light the candle ,breathe
deeply and clear your
mind. Begin to concentrate on the powers of
protection, visualize a strong
shell surrounding you, glowing hot. When this has been
accomplished, say in a
powerful voice:
“I call on the guardians
and on the power of the Lord and the Lady
I surround myself with the protection of fire
I am supported by the strength and grace of earth
The winds bring me gentle shifts
and the water’s flow eases the energy in this time.
I believe in this protection and I release my fears,
so that I may connect to the pulse of life.
May this be done within the greater good,
So mote it be, so be it should!”
Let the candle burn for as long as you like. You can
take this opporunity to
meditate and release the spell into the cosmos. When
you are ready, snuff
out the candle. Keep this candle and burn it during
meditation whenever you
feel a need for extra protection. When the candle has
eventually been burned
completely, repeat this spell if you feel the need.
When done, take the
basil and scatter it on the ground under the light of
the full moon. The
spell is complete.

THE OAKLEAF FAERY SPELL
If a maid that is deep in love will go with her suitor to a lonely
place in the meadows or in the woods, or in the moors, and place within
her own and her lover’s shoe a single oakleaf; and if they both will
wait there and contemplate their love, and speak it to one another as
evening falls and the stars come out, they will, if their patience is
good, behold the faery host as they come to gambol and sport in the
wilds.

Reaping Money Spell
Color of the day: Turquoise
Incense of the day: Cedar
Thursday belongs in the jurisdiction of Jupiter. The Roman god Jupiter dealt
with matters of law and stability. This is a good day for spells about money
prosperity, and business. Many magical traditions recognize the Rule of
Three, that whatever you do comes back to you three times over. Here is a
prosperity spell using the energy of Jupiter and the Rule of Three. For this
spell, you will need three dollar bills (or use larger bills, if you can
afford to) and some green thread. Roll each bill into a tight tube, always
rolling toward yourself. Tie each tube with green thread. Then put the money
into a charity box, and say (silently if someone is watching):
I reap what I sow.
I get what I throw.
Money come, money go.
Money come!
Your generosity will draw prosperity to you.

BANISHING UNWANTED ELEMENTS FROM YOUR LIFE
TO BRING IN NEW SUCCESSES
1) Do this when the moon is wanning, or if you want it gone
*now* do it on the dark of the moon.
2) Use an object to a focus of what you wish to banish, and
destroy the object in the ritual (ripping and chewing it to
bits works well for some folks, burning it works for
others).
3) Try some Datura leaves in incense as you work; it is
great for banishings. Asafoedita herb also works, but it
will also likely banish *you* (it smells incredibly vile and
induces nausea in most folks). Hope this helps.
Example: I was having trouble finding romance, so a did a
ritual where I took a piece of black cord, and symbolically
made it the focus for all the forces, internal and external,
which were keeping me from finding romance. I annointed it
with my blood, saliva and semen. I then ripped and chewed
the cord to bits, and burned the remains. I summoned up all
of my anger about my lack of romance and focused it into the
ritual. The ritual worked, a bit *too* well at first, but
it worked.
