LODESTONE MONEY (OR OBJECT) DRAWING SPELL
The following hoodoo lodestone spell can be used for drawing
anything you want, whether it is money, romance, sex, marriage, a
new car, business success, a child, a job, the return of a lost
lover, or you-name-it.
You need one large lodestone, a china plate, a packet of magnetic
sand, some sort of drawing oil, and a piece of paper torn from a
brown grocery sack. Write your wish on the paper, being as specific
as possible about your wants, and sign it with your name. Get a
picture of what you desire (a drawing, a photograph, or even an
advertisement torn from a magazine). If your desire is for more
money, use a dollar bill as your “picture” and add it to your
written wish.
Anoint the four corners of the wishing paper and the picture or
money, either with a general drawing oil such as Attraction Oil,
Fast Luck Oil, or Lodestone Oil, or with a specific condition-
drawing oil for your particular purpose, such as Love Me Oil, Come
To Me Oil, Follow Me Boy Oil, Lavender Love Drops, Money Drawing
OIl, or Reconciliation Oil.
Place the wishing paper and the picture or money on the plate and
set the lodestone on top. Pray over the lodestone, stating your wish
clearly, and then feed the lodestone with a pinch of magnetic sand.
The idea is to get the lodestone to understand your wish and to work
on your behalf, drawing the desire toward you. When you have
finished praying, put the plate and everything on it away where no
one will see it, perhaps under your bed or in a drawer.
Every day take out the plate with the lodestone and papers, pray
over it, and feed the lodestone with magnetic sand, stating your
wish clearly. When your wish comes true, thank the lodestone
respectfully and bury it in your yard with its magnetic sand and all
the papers, still on the plate.

Cord Magick
by Estelle Daniels
One magical art that is not widely used is that of cord magic. Cords
or ribbons of various colors are braided together while
concentrating on a desired end. Then the cord is consecrated,
blessed, and worn.
Many magical traditions use cords of various colors to designate
attainment of degrees. This varies by tradition and region.
WAYS TO USE CORD MAGICK
Cord magick is widely adaptable. One very basic use is for
protection. A cord can be made with the intent to protect the wearer
from harm by psychic or magickal energies. Then, when worn, the cord
protects from specific types of harm as the need arises. One
caution: these protective cords should only be used when needed, not
casually worn day in and day out. They work well when sleeping in an
unfamiliar place, or visiting somewhere the wearer is uncertain
about.
Another use for cords can be to help performance on the job. Weave
them with the intent that you will do your job better, be more
professional, make fewer mistakes, make a good impression on others,
etc., then wear them under your clothes to work. You could wear them
every day (taking them off after work), or maybe only on Monday, or
the toughest day of your week. Eventually you will no longer need
them, as you will have internalized the message.
Cord magic adapts well to helping others who may not use magick
themselves. You weave the intent into the cords, and the person
wears them knowing what spell you used and what the desired outcome
is. You cannot give a person a cord and expect it to work without
their knowledge and cooperation. The person wearing the cord must
know what it is about and be a willing participant in the magickal
intent.
Some people use cords to invoke certain gods or goddess energies. As
deity has many aspects, you can use cords to symbolize a certain
aspect of deity, and when woven with that in mind the cord acts as a
link to that manifestation. These can also be used to invoke
protection as aid from that particular god-form when worn.
A cord can also be used as a portable magickal circle. Weave the
cord inside the circle with the intent of producing the circle when
worn. Then all you need to do is put the cord on, and you are in
that circle. This works well when you are in a place you cannot cast
a full circle, or you need a circle but lack the time or equipment
necessary. This type of cord needs to be recharged every so often to
retain its potency and effectiveness.
BUYING AND PREPARING CORD MATERIALS
The materials used for a cord vary. I like the round silk cord
(called rattail, mousetail, bugtail or other names), dyed various
colors, and usually available by the yard or foot at craft, yarn, or
fabric stores. It comes in varying widths and many colors. It braids
easily, and looks nice when finished. Yarn can also be used. Thicker
yarn is better as it stands up to wear, and wool is best. Natural
fibers work best in cords. Colored ribbons can also be used, found
in decorating stores for trim (not the ribbon used for decorating
packages. Often they can be bought by the spool for a good price.
Use a new piece of cord, string or twine, or a piece which has been
specifically set a aside specifically for a magical purpose. Avoid
plastic or synthetic based products, if possible. Use a length ideal
for the task. If it is to be put in a neck pouch a 3 foot piece of
cord will be a bit impractical, yet if it is to be worn as a girdle
a 1 inch piece is hardly likely to fit.
The colour of the cord may reflect the form of magic required.
Otherwise a natural or neutral colour will service.
The spell should be performed alone and working by moonlight or
candle light. But you can use an appropriate hour of the day as the
situations demands.
Incense can also be burned to assist in creating the right
atmosphere and to ’seal’ the cord, if you wish.
When planning for a specific cord, I go and buy the materials,
usually all at once. It’s easier to braid if you use the same
material throughout, all silk or wool yarn, or ribbons. If the
materials are bought in lengths, I measure the length desired. The
standard is three yards (nine feet) per strand. Longer lengths
become difficult to work with, and shorter lengths make a less
adaptable cord (unless you plan on placing the cord in a pouch or
your pocket). When I get it all home, I coat the ends with melted
wax (usually by running them into the melted at the base of a
lighted candle) to seal the ends and prevent fraying. If you stick
the cords in below the flame you can get the ends waxed and not burn
the cord at all. After the wax hardens, I either start the braiding
or I put the materials away until the time I have chosen to work on
the cords.
BRAIDING THE CORD
Get very clear in your mind what is being sought or wished for or
the intent of the spell your are about to performed. Concentrate on
this image or thought, banish all other images and thoughts from
your mind.
When braiding, a tighter weave will make a shorter cord. A more
elaborate weave will also probably end up shorter if you start with
the same length cord. The more strands used and the thicker strands
used, generally the shorter the finished cord will be. You can
secure the cord with a ring (it loops through to tie more easily
with a ring), or you can just know the ends together and braid if
you don’t want to use any metal.
When braiding, I place enough time to finish the cord in one
session. A simple three-strand braid can take twenty to forty
minutes. With a seven or more strand braid it can take hours. As I
braid, I recite the reasons for making this cord, perhaps making a
rhyme or chant. I vary the words, using more than one rhyme or
chant. I visualize the outcome desired; not how the outcome will
happen, but just the end desired. If making the cord for another, I
talk about the person and why this cord is being made and what I
want it to do.
Once finished, I bless and consecrate the cord, then put it away
until it is to be used. Cords make nice respositories for portable
spells, and travel easily. You can wear them under your clothes or
even as a belt, and they will do what you want, and be unobtrusive.
You can carry them in a purse or pocket, ready to use when needed.
Placed under a pillow, they offer protection at night while sleeping.
Cord magick is simple and effective, and adapts well to many
purposes.
KNOT MAGICK
Pass the card through the candle flame or incense smoke, back and
forth whilst you whisper the words of your spell and to cleanse and
seal the cord to it’s task.
Then begin to tie the knots whilst repeating the ’spell of the cord’
(see later in text).
It is best to tie the knots as follows, starting from the middle
—–2—-8—-4—-6—-1—-7—-5—-9—-3—-
Items can be tied into the knots as you go to strengthen the spell,
such as hair, resins, wood, etc.
Spell of the Cord
By the knot of one The spells began
By the knot of two It will come true
By the knot of three So shall it be
By the knot of four It is strengthened more
By the knot of five So may it thrive
By the knot of six This spell is fixed
By the knot of seven Be it powered by the heavens
By the knot of eight Guide the hand of fate
By the knot of nine The thing is mine
Once completed, pass the knotted cord through the incense or candle
flame again. Then extinguish the candle and incense and go to bed.
Put the cord in a pre-prepared place or if for personal empowerment,
under your pillow.
Carry the knotted cord with you as a talisman, keeping it hidden
from sight if necessary. Or dispose of as appropriate to the spell
Do not tell any one of the spell working, if you must only those you
can trust and only if you really need to.
Above all else believe in what you are doing and it will work.
This is only a skeleton of the magic - one can invoke God or Goddess
forms, animals or guide spirits to assist in the magic being worked,
as you feel comfortable or appropriate with.
Also this is not ’safe magic’ for it does not come with a “and harm
none” clause. Cord magic is what I call grey magic, you can use it
to give yourself confidence or to curse another and bind them to ill
fortune, which ever you do and however you use the magic is your own
responsibility and you will take the full consequences of the magic
you cast, be that good or bad consequences
Only you and your karmic conscious are the guardians of application
of this form of magic.

Feather Correspondences
In natural magic feathers are used in spells and ceremonies to promote
change. They are used as catalysts to help focus concentration while
carrying out spells and wishes.
The medicine bag, also called power pouch or sachet, often includes special
feathers which have meaning to the wearer and help attracting good luck as
well as driving away bad things.
Feathers are often used to focus concentration in spells.
Feathers are magically ruled by the element of air. This makes them good
communication helpers. But each feather also can hold other special powers;
depending on the bird it came from, its color and place of discovery and
other factors.
The knowledge what kind of feather is best used for what kind of indent can
only be found out for oneself by trial and error. A pigeon feather is not as
helpful for creating a defense strategy than a feather taken from a bird of
prey.
The general rule for future feather magicians is always to use self found
feathers rather than bought ones. A shop cannot substitute a walk in nature,
nor the joy when the wanted feather is finally found.
Feathers are often used to focus concentration in spells
Feathers used for magical undertakings are mainly determined by the energy
which is brought into the feather by the magician him/herself through
concentration and thought. Beside from the energy the magician brings into
the object, feathers hold certain natural abilities.
PEACOCK
Peacock Feathers were thought to be very unlucky, because they resemble an
eye. The eye shape represented the evil eye which people were afraid of.
Today the beauty and natural strength of the peacock feathers are again
recognized. They are specially valued for their multicolored eyes.
BLUE JAY BIRD
Blue Jay feathers are valued as bringer of light and joy and are said to
have the ability to brighten up even the darkest places.
CROW
The Crow is one of the animals humans have always been afraid of. A crow at
the window is said to represent the soul of a dead person. Crow feathers are
used for mourning and letting go of unwanted feelings or situations.
ROBIN
Robin feathers can help to bring new things into ones life. They can also be
used to induce fertility.
SWAN
The pure white feathers of swans are used to purify and cleanse by
attracting new energy. They represent beauty, grace and goodness. Black swan
feathers can be used to purify of unwanted energy.
NIGHTINGALE
This birds feathers are good communication feathers. They help to tap into
the deeper consciousness and can teach sacred wisdom.
HAWK
The feathers of hawks not only hold the active energy of those artful
hunters, but can also be used to identify diseases at skilled hands.
EAGLE
Eagle feathers are thought to be great energy bringers and remind us of the
basic sacredness of all birds . They represent peace and happiness and can
also drive away harmful energy.
Basically all feathers can be used for any spell, they can either attract or
repel energy. But their color gives them a specify energy which should be
chosen in accordance to the wished outcome of the spell. Naturally colored
feathers are more powerful than chemically died ones. Often colored candles
are used in conjunction with feathers to give additional strength to the
spell.

The Witches Pyramid
The Witches’ Pyramid is a set of four principles that are very
important to successful magic: To Know, To Will, To Dare, and To
Keep Silent.
TO KNOW
Do research on the kind of spell you’re trying to do. For example,
if you like to use candles in magic, read about what other people
have done with candle magic. What steps do they go through? You
don’t have to make your spell exactly like someone else’s, but if
you notice everyone else dressing their candles with oil while
concentrating on their purpose (for example), it may be something
that you want to try as well.
Also learn about the magical correspondences for your tradition and
use them in your spells. For example, if you were doing a love spell
and you were a fan of the Norse pantheon, you might want to
emphasize certain runes, invoke the goddess Freya, and do the spell
on Friday (Freya’s Day). There are also correspondences in most
traditions for colors, plants, animals, times of day, seasons, and
phases of the Moon, among other things. The more of these you can
incorporate into your work, the more focused your energy will
become.
Go over the spell in your mind a few times before you actually do
it. Know what step comes next. If possible, memorize your lines.
TO WILL
Now that the spell is focused, YOU must be focused as well. If you
throw a spell together at the last minute and do it half-heartedly
while watching The X-Files, no matter how skilled you are, you will
get less “bang” from your magic than you would have if you prepared
well and really concentrated on what you were doing. A regular
practice of meditation will teach you to focus your mind, which will
in turn fuel your magic much more effectively.
You must have confidence in your spell for it to work. You must
believe that you have done real magic and that real magic works.
Your spell feeds off of your thoughts and energy, and if you don’t
feed it well, it will die.
TO DARE
It’s not only your conscious mind that has to believe in the spell,
either. Any ambiguous thoughts you have lurking about will
compromise your magic. On the top of a sheet of paper, write what
the spell is basically for: “A Job.” for example.
Write down every thought that comes into your head about “A Job.”
When you run out of ideas, read over your list. How many negatives
are in it? These are thoughts that will interfere with your spell
unless they are dealt with. For example, if I do a spell for “A
Job.” and I discover that deep down I hate most jobs and would
rather not have one, for my spell to work I either have to change my
goal or deal with my attitude problem.
The other part of daring is infusing your spell with some emotion.
Emotion is energy. “Gosh, I wish he would leave me alone” will not
give much punch to a hex. (I don’t recommend hexes anyway, but this
is an example of using emotion for energy.) “LEAVE ME THE HELL
ALONE!!!” will do better. Feel something as you’re doing the spell.
Give a flying fig how it turns out. If you don’t care, why should
the Gods? (And for that matter, if you don’t care, why are you doing
the spell in the first place??)
TO KEEP SILENT
Now that you’ve done your spell, shut up about it. There are two
reasons for this. One is that the energy you spend dwelling on it is
energy that isn’t going to the spell itself. It’s more efficient to
just think about something else and let your spell do its work. The
other reason is that if you talk about your spell to someone who
doesn’t believe in magic or who doesn’t want your spell to work for
some reason, that person can undermine your confidence, which will
weaken the spell
Thirteen Steps for successful spell casting
1) Think clearly about what you need.
If you need a car, perhaps it would be best to do a spell that will help you to bring a car into your life, rather than asking for a few thousand dollars to come your way so that you can buy a car. Magic can work in many ways and you might be limiting yourself if you donĂt stay open to all possibilities! But remember, magic works best if you really need something, rather than just desiring it.
2) Set a goal that is clear, concise and unambiguous.
Focus only upon one work of magic at a time. For best results, don’t scatter your power, channel it in one direction.
3) Avoid distractions when performing your spell.
To be effective in your magic, you must be fully focussed upon your intentions. Put time and energy into preparing yourself and your spell. Find a location where you can work your spell in private, without any distractions.
4) Choose the right timing for your spell.
By choosing particular days, and by working in harmony with the phases of the moon, you can enhance the effectiveness of your spell. The days of the week and the phases of the moon all have specific energies associated with them, and by knowing the right time for your spell, you can give it greater power. Working magic is like swimming in the ocean, you are going to get to your destination quicker and easier if the currents and tides are moving in the direction you are wanting to go. You can still get there even if everything is going against you, but it will not be as easy to achieve your goal.
5) Use appropriate symbols for your spell.
When doing the spell, have appropriate music, incense, colours, objects and tools around you to reinforce the message of the spell to your subconscious.
6) Set a time for a result.
Include in your spell an indication of when you would like to see a result. If your spell is for greater prosperity, include a date for when you would like to see that extra cash in your wallet or purse.
7) Create a simple rhyme to use during the spell.
Chanting a few appropriate words that you have written yourself, will have a much better effect than reading text from an ancient spell book. Repeat your wording lots of times during your spell. Repetition is the key to sending a message to your subconscious.
Use the “For the good of all!” clause.
When creating the wording for your spell, remember to include the phrase, “For the good of all!” This phrase will help your spells to enhance your life, without having your good fortune being at the expense of another. Another useful phrase is, “This or something better now comes to me.” Often that which you want at this point in your life may be different to what you really need, and it’s only when you look with hindsight from a future point in time that you can realise this. So, by asking “for this or something better,” you leave yourself open to greater possibilities becoming available to you. I have heard so many examples of spells going wrong when the “For the good of all!” wording is not taken into consideration. One friend did a spell to get $1,000 for a holiday, and two weeks later his house was burgled, and the insurance reimbursement cheque ended up being $1,000 exactly. Another person I know did a spell so that she could have some time off work, and she promptly broke her leg, requiring three months off work! I have also heard (many times) about people who do a spell to lose weight, and they get diarrhoea, or excessive vomiting, or both. They sure lost weight, but not in a healthy way. Be careful for what you wish for, because you may get it!
9) Realise the consequences of having what you asked for.
Apart from the examples just given, there are other consequences to be aware of. When something comes into your life, certain responsibilities come along with it. For example, when doing a spell to get a car, remember that along with the car comes registration costs, petrol and repair bills, perhaps monthly loan repayments, etc. Are you in a position to handle these? A Law of Exchange is always at work when magic is used. Sometimes what you have wished for seems to come out of thin air, with little effort on your part, but often it will arrive from more mundane sources. For example, it may be that after doing a spell for a car, you win $20,000 in the lottery and you can buy it…Or it may simply be that you are offered the chance to do extra hours at your work, or a second job turns up so that you are then in a financial position to afford a loan for the dream car. Are you prepared to give this extra energy to the universe/gods in exchange for the items you wished for? Another way in which money can become available to you after casting a prosperity spell, is through being asked if you want to sell something that is of value to you. Are you willing to part with that family heirloom if someone makes an offer out of the blue?
10) Avoid using words that you don’t understand.
Spell books are great for getting ideas, but the spell will work better if you put it into words that are meaningful to you. In the book “The Key of Solomon the King” there is a spell for gaining inspiration, and at one point the spell-caster is supposed to say the Hebrew words, “Vegale hamicata umsa terata yeh dah ma baxasoxa un horah himesere…” But this sort of wording does nothing to focus awareness upon the aim of the spell. It is much better to make something up yourself. For example, for an “inspiration” spell, you could scry into a water-filled cauldron and say the words, “Beneath the stars and moon so bright, from cauldron deep and candlelight, the answer that I seek tonight is now revealed into my sight.”
11) Use positives not negatives.
Make sure that the wording of your spell is phrased in a positive manner. For example, with a health spell don’t use wording such as “I don’t want to be sick anymore.” Your subconscious doesn’t recognise words like “don’t want”, it can only focus on words that it can put an image to, i.e. the word “sick”. Spells are basically affirmations that include images or symbols, so while doing a healing spell, visualise yourself as healthy and turn this phrase around to something like, “I am healthy, I am strong - all the day and all night long!”
12) Be realistic.
Expect miracles, but don’t go overboard! A love spell will help you to attract romance into your life, but a love spell to attract a Hollywood movie star as your lover is unrealistic. Even Merlin would have trouble with that one!
13) Raise power for the spell (if appropriate).
You can raise power to help send your wishes off into the universe by drumming, chanting, dancing, or even by running around your magical circle. Power raising is like pumping up an air rifle before aiming and releasing the energy, so after raising energy, drop to the ground and visualise your spell as fully manifest. See it in your mind clearly, and send this image into the universe knowing that it has already come true.
Please remember: A magic spell will not work by simply repeating some words that you find in a spell book. The magic of a spell is contained within you - your needs, your desires, and the energy you are prepared to put into the working of the spell. If there is no personal power in your spell, it is only words.

HEALING CIRCLE-author unknown
The concept of the ‘circle’ is an archetype that dates back to the
beginnings of our current creation in third dimension:
a cycle of time
time pieces - clocks
yin-yang
the egg
completion
coming full circle
the beginning and the end
wholeness
geometry of creation - the flower of life - spiraling back to
source - fibernacci - phi ratio-consciousness
the wheel and hub
celestial objects
crystals and jewelry - rings - bracelets - necklaces - many
gemstones
———————————————————————
A healing circle is a group of like-minded people who pray together
to give or receive healing or energy work - at a specific time each
day. This is a form of ‘distance healing’ as the people/person
praying - is not with the person seeking the healing. This type of
healing does work. As with all healing - the person receiving the
healing has to be ready and willing to accept the healing on all
levels of their subtle bodies.
There are thousands of people who are part healing circles for
planetary healing. They work through harmonics - tones sent into the
grids (crystal bowls, drumming, etc.) at specific power grid points.
Simple prayer by the healing circle each day will send a pulse of
energy to the grids for healing and raising frequency to a higher
pitch - vibration - tone - soul note.
Prayers can be guided for anything needed in the person’s life. They
may include:
psychospiritual and transformational topics
improved physical health, depression,
love
overcoming abuse
career
There is power in group energy. Thought is received by the grids
with a more powerful pulse if send by a larger number of souls.
Many people start their own healing circles. Perhaps you would like
to create a circle of your own.
Healers - such as those who working with Reiki energies - often
create healing circles.
You may contact a healing circle if you wish to request healing-
prayer for someone.
———————————————————————
Humankind has eternally sought inspiration, understanding and
healing from stones and circles. Native Americans honor stones
as ‘the oldest living relatives’. Shamanism often involves a healing
circle.
Jews and Christians alike have gathered near stone tabernacles or
stone temples for centuries to worship and seek guidance.
The ancient Western European cultures believed that stones in a
circle had magical, spiritual and healing properties.
The Hindu religion uses a mandala, or sacred circle, for meditation,
life direction, and healing.
From the statues of Stone Age matriarchal cultures to the ancient
pyramids of Egypt or Stonehenge in England, people have turned to
stones, circles, and rings of stone for aid in the timeless human
struggles with life, growth, and healing.
A healing circle made of stones is based on this ancient and
compelling attraction to the circle and to stones. The circle is a
symbol present across time in all religions and cultures, for the
circle is endless and timeless. The circle suggests an unbroken
wholeness in time and space, repeating over and over without end.The
cycle of our lives moves in repeated and interwoven circles. Our day
moves in a circle, as does our months (moon cycle),and years. The
journeys we take in our lives begin at our home base, move away, and
circle back.
———————————————————————
Plato wrote The soul is a circle.
I see the soul as a circular spark of light energy.
Have you ever seen circles -
sparks of light -
moving between dimensions?
On several occasions I have stared into someone’s eyes
in a dimly lit room
to see their past lives
and have gone back as far as their soul spark!
Try this exercise sometime.
Be patient as it can take time.
You can also stand in front of a mirror
in dark room
place a flashlight beneath your face
focus on your eyes
the widows to the soul
and see your own soul spark!

Now that you’ve done your spell, shut up about it. There are two reasons for this. One is that the energy you spend dwelling on it is energy that isn’t going to the spell itself. It’s more efficient to just think about something else and let your spell do its work. The other reason is that if you talk about your spell to someone who doesn’t believe in magic or who doesn’t want your spell to work for some reason, that person can undermine your confidence, which will weaken the spell.

The Owl
There are approximately 135 species of Owl, seventeen which are found in
North America. Their secretive habits, quiet flight and various calls
from whistles, screeches and hoots, have made them objects of
superstition and even fear in some parts of the world. Some native
tribes see the owl as a symbol of death while other tribes believe they
embody the mysteries of shamanism and sorcery. Individuals with this
totem are private complex people and don’t like others to know what they
are really thinking.
This can sometimes lead to misunderstandings especially in the area of
personal relationships.
Owls have many abilities which set them apart from all other birds.
Their wings which are extremely soft and thick, allow them to fly
silently as they can swoop down on unsuspecting prey. They are able to
slip in and out of places unnoticed and can teach us how to do the same.
Their eyes are large and forward facing giving them a wise appearance.
They have a greater range of motion in their necks than any other animal
with a spinal column. Owls turn their heads rather than their eyes,
which are stationary. Their night vision is so powerful that they can
see prey when the light is the equivalent of a candle burning 2500 feet
away!
Their powers of vision are matched by their almost otherworldly hearing
abilities. In studies done with owls that were placed in totally light
free rooms, the owls were able to locate a mouse by sound alone. Those
with this medicine are usually gifted with clairvoyant and clairaudient
abilities. Souls who are born with this totem have chosen a path which
suggests a need to refine and perfect these gifts for the aid of others.
They make excellent therapists, psychologists and counselors.
Active at dawn and dusk owls are sometimes referred to as the night
eagle, a messenger from the darkness and a guide through all the
mysteries that it contains. It teaches us how to embrace our personal
darkness without fear.
Owls are sometimes thought to come to those that are about to die. This
does not mean a physical death as much as it means the letting go of
some part of yourself that is not serving you. Owls with their spectral
senses help guide us through the dark tunnels of fear, change and
uncertainty to the brilliant light shining at the other end. If the owl
appears in your life thank it for its willingness to guide you through
its shadowy realm to the other side of promise and joy.

The Universal Fluid Condenser-Author Unknown
This is also called a compound fluid condenser. It’s kind of an ‘all
purpose’ condenser as it is good for all types of spells and is used to
give them and added boost of power. It’s a wonderful general anointing
liquid for tools, amulets, charms and sachets, and is used, to in
purifying baths and washes. Candles, gemstones and jewelry all benefit
for the powers of this condenser if it is applied to them on a regular
basis. As always, be creative and use your imagination to find new ways
to use it.
Directions:
Herbs to use: Angelica root, mugwort, chamomile flowers, rosebuds,
peppermint leave, lemon grass, sage leaves, oak leaves or bark, bay
leaves, lemon peels, violet flowers or leaves, cardamom seeds.
Take a half once of each herb and put in your pot or spring water or
distilled water. Cover them and bring it to a boil, slowly 21 minutes.
Cool, strain and boil until the mixture becomes thick (about half the
amount of water as you started with). Then add an equal amount of vodka
or gin. If you can find it use Everclear. Pour into a dark glass
bottle. I think cobalt works better than amber, but that it my personal
choice. Store in a cool, dry place and remember to label it with all the
relevant information including date.

SUCCESS WITH RESIN SAPPING
Ever run into a situation where you need the resin from a certain tree and
cant find it? I have. I also go through a lot because I use it as a binder
in my incenses and I like to use the appropriate resin so as not to dis align
my energies. This is how I do it:
{Don’t forget to ask the tree you sap permission to do so!}
1. Ensure the tree you select will sap well. Look at where branches have
fallen; are the wounds covered with dry sap? Is there sap at seemingly
random points on the tree? You have a sapping tree. If you are unsure, poke
a small hole in the tree and come back in a week, if there is sap there, you
have a winner, if not, find a different type of tree. You may end up having
to bite the bullet and buying some.
2. Once you have a sapping tree wait until the conditions are right. Perfect
conditions are late February to early march. The temprture should have been
around the 40’s for several days prior. Most of us may not live in a place
where this will happen, or need it at another time of the year. I recommend
waiting for the coldest couple of days, and begin the sapping early in the
morning, at first light or earlier.
3. Look for dry sap on the tree that you can collect. If there is none, or
not enough, follow steps 4-5, if there is enough “natural sap” do not follow
steps 4&5.
4. “Wound” the tree , be sure to thank the tree, ensure the cut goes to the
beginning of the heartwood so you know you have penetrated the sapwood. make
SURE that the wound is no larger than 1″
5. Return each week until the sap covering the wound has dried, or you can
collect it while wet, and let it dry. Your choice.
6. Once you have collected enough dry sap you have 2 choices: 1: grind the
sap into a powder on the spot (see step 9 for details) or homogenize (make
all of the sap one consistency, color, etc.) if you just grind it go to step
9. If you decide to homogenize! , contin ue. You must homogenize to make bar
resin.
7. Place all dry sap in a glass bottle (with all labeling removed). Place
the bottle directly on the stove and set it to a low heat. Heat until all
sap has mixed and is uniform in color and has no major chunks (small ones
are usually ok). The sap should have been boiling for a while now. If making
bar sap, pour into a mold/onto wax paper and let dry, you are done. For
powdered resin, continue.
8. Pour resin onto a plastic bag or wax paper and allow to dry. To ensure
the resin is dry, cover with COLD ice water for a while and dry COMPLETLEY.
9. To grind you will need a mortar and pestle. Ensure resin is COMPLETLEY
DRY. Clean you mortar and pestle immediately prior to grinding. Ensure it is
bone dry. Smash the sap lobes/bars/plates in to smaller pieces then grind as
usual. A little will stick to the sides, just scrape it off with a spoon.
(be sure to clean your mortar and pestle afterwards) You are done.

I recently posted an article on making rune stones. I thought I would share how I made my Runes.
I have studied and rad runes for years. My first set of runes were stones that I gathered myself. I picked equal sized stones and washed them. I then painted the runes on them with red paint. I my have used red sharpie but I can’t remember right now. I know that the runes were red and they were on the rocks.
Rune stones are a 20th century phenomenon. The Runes as we know them today were introduced by Ralph Blum. His runes were on stones. He also introduced us to the 25th rune or the blank rune. He called this rune the Odin rune. This rune was not apart of the original elder futhark. Traditional the elder futhark has 24 runes in 3 series of aetts (pronounced Eights).
The runes were originally carved on sticks called staves. These staves were tossed and read by the rune and the placement they fell in. When working magic usually the runes were written in the blood of the caster.
The more I worked with rune stones the more I realized that I wanted a set of wooden runes. I am not a very crafty fellow so I wanted them to be traditional, functional and easy to make. I decided that staves would not work for me but wooden disks would. I went down to the local lumber store and bought myself a hardwood dowl rod around an inch wide. I cut myself 24 equal disks around 1/4 inch thick (I know people that use antler and that works well).
I took a red paint pen and painted the runes on each disk. Wood burning would work. I used red paint to represent blood since I refused to take enough of my own blood for 24 runes. I don’t like to take my blood. I figure loosing an arm is enough sacrifice to any God or Goddess and that I would keep my blood, thank you very much.
After finishing painting the runes I oiled them You can use something like mink oil or linseed oil. If you use linseed oil use boiled linseed because if it is not boiled it will take several weeks to dry.
That was it. I had a functional set of runes based in tradition that were easy to make. I then cleansed, blessed and attuned them in a way that worked for me.
I found my own path to reading runes that incorporates traditional ways along with a few new ways to make them work for me in a modern world.

These candles look very elegant lined up along a wall, path or table in the
following order - red, blue, yellow green. When the evening is over simply
remove the tealight candle and store away till the next time you want to use
them.
You will need:
12 long kebab skewers
12 small inexpensive shot glasses
12 tealight candles
4 spray cans of glass paint: 1 red, 1 yellow, 1 blue and 1 green
Gloves to protect your hands
With gloved hands take a skewer and invert a shot glass upside down on top
of the skewer. Shake the glass paint can well before use and spray the
outside of the glass. When evenly coated insert the skewer into soft soil or
sand and leave to throughly dry. Do not touch the paint. Continue painting
the rest of the glasses - 3 red, 3 yellow, 3 blue and 3 green.
When dry place a tealight candle into each shot glass. They are
now ready to use.
